Lulu....
-
Lulu has come to live with us, she is another rescue dog from
Wiccaweys
rescue centre.
She is a 10ish year old rough Border Collie, and has settled in really well.
She is getting on well with our five cats (they have been seen touching
noses!!). Hopefully she will be with us longer than poor old Eddie was.
Eddie....
-
Eddie
was is a 10+ year old collie
cross who was rescued by
Wiccaweys
rescue centre (her name was Edna there). We brought her home on the 20th
June. She had been limping badly, today, 17th August, following an x-ray,
she was found to have tumours around her front left shoulder, so we had to
let her go. Hopefully the two months she had with us were happy ones. Two
sweet months with a lovely sweet dog.
Newish look web site....
- In a quest to get W3C
compliance, you may have noticed a few changes to the web site, mainly the
floating menu on the left. Also gone are the FrontPage theme graphics that
I've never really liked. Its made most pages more compact, and will mean its
easier for me to maintain the site. Any comments,
good or 'constructive' are always welcome.
Our award....
- We have won an award!!, the
Swift Award is a national award recognising the quickest, most
reliable and best-value service. Each month the awards are given from a short
list of 50 businesses. A huge thank you to the client who nominated us for
this award.
Very sad news....
- Sadly on 2nd May 2008, we had to have our lovely cattery dog Gemma put
to sleep. She was 18 years old, and for quite a long time had arthritis in
her back legs. Added to this, she had cataracts, so she was partially blind,
and her selective deafness had developed into near full deafness. Lately she
was finding it very hard to walk and go to the toilet, finally it was down
to her quality of life, which was very poor.
She was a fantastic cattery dog, hardly ever barked, totally ignored the
guest cats, and gave way to our house cats. She used to love running after
sticks and balls, right up to a year or so ago. She hopefully had a great
life with us, and we'll all miss her terribly.
And finally...
- If you have any stories of a catty nature or photos that others might
find interesting, please them to us and I will post them on the Gallery page. Any other
suggestions (polite ones only please) that may improve this site will always
be welcomed. Please use the feedback form for
your suggestion
